Fujizakura　Festival！＆Fuji Shibazakura Festival！

It's the season when the gentle spring sunshine calms the soul.

How are you doing?

The other day, I went to the Fujizakura Festival in Fujiyoshida City to enjoy the last of the cherry blossom season✨

The Fujizakura is the prefectural flower of Yamanashi and also the city flower of Fujiyoshida City.

It was just before the Fujizakura Festival ended, so it may have been a little late to see them, but they were blooming beautifully😄

　

The location was the Fujiyoshidaguchi trail to Mt. Fuji, so you could hear the chirps of birds such as Japanese bush warblers,

I was able to forget the hustle and bustle of the new year and feel relaxed, and I was able to refresh myself by bathing in the forest☺️

The gentle path made it easy to walk🗻

 

　　　　　

I had some free cherry blossom tea and bought some mitarashi dango at a nearby shop called Nakanochaya.

The freshly baked "Mitarashi Dango″ were very delicious 😋

Sakura tea is a service that is only available on weekends and holidays. They also gave away flower pots (limited quantity).

The Fujizakura near Nakanochaya is also designated as a national natural monument.

Why don't you visit it once?

 

Next, I went to the Fuji Shibazakura Festival at Fuji Motosu Lake Resort.

It will be held from April 12th to May 25th, 2025.

Not only cherry blossoms as spring flowers, but also the "Shibazakura" that spreads a carpet of pink and white all over the ground is a spectacular sight at this time of year.

The contrast between the colorful Shibazakura and Mt. Fuji was also very beautiful 😍

　　

I also learned for the first time that there are many different types of Shibazakura.

The Fuji Shibazakura Festival requires an admission fee and parking fees if you come by car, but there is also a dog run at the venue, so you can enjoy it with your dog 🐕

Pets can only enter using a pet cage, pet cart, or pet sling.

 

The English Garden, where you can enjoy the world of Peter Rabbit, also has a different image from the Shibazakura 🪄

There is also a Peter Rabbit shop and gallery, and a cafe attached 🍰

　　　

 

The giant picture book allows even those who don't know Peter Rabbit to learn about the world of Beater Rabbit.

The story trail recreates scenes from the picture book 📖

 

There are many different viewpoints and photo spots inside the venue 📸

It was difficult to wait in line for photos, so I took a picture of the heart-shaped bench and the yellow door of happiness from a distance.

If you actually take a photo at the photo spot, I think you'll be able to take a wonderful photo that will remain in your memory 😄

 

This is Mt. Fuji as seen from an observation tower that is about 8 meters high ❣️

 

In the delicious food gourmet area, various food trucks are set up, including the pitch black "Mt. Fuji Lava Fried Chicken" that is inspired by the lava of Mt. Fuji,

and "Kikyo Shingen Mochi Soft Serve" topped with Kikyo Shingen Mochi.

There are also many types of souvenirs, such as "Kikyo Shingen Mochi in Fuji Shibazakura Limited Package", "Mt. Fuji Cookie Tin", and "Sakura Leaf Mochi" 🥰

In addition, it seems that the Fuji Shibazakura Liner, a direct flight to the Fuji Shibazakura Festival, is operating from Kawaguchiko Station, Mt. Fuji Station, etc. 🚌

There are other famous places where the moss phlox that is unique to this season is unique, but I thought the combination of Mt. Fuji and moss phlox was very nice 🧡

 

There are also azaleas in the beautiful flowers at this time of year.

The road to the Fuji Shibazakura Festival and inside the venue were covered with azaleas, which were very beautiful😊

 

Inside the venue, there are moss phlox arranged in a diamond pattern, which I thought was based on the Takeda diamond, the family crest of Takeda Shingen, which also appeared in the previous blog🤔
